“Choice Men in Scripture”

The name “Choice Men” came to me in a dream, Leanne and i where planning the business and the website and lots of things where TBC, Leanne had Lifted Spirits already. I needed a name for what i was doing and i woke up one day and it came to me after a dream “Choose” “Choice”, “ Choice Men”? okay maybe that would be a good name.

A few days later I was stood reading the bible, randomly flicked it open and i read NKJV Psalm 78:31 ending with “struck down the choice men" I called out to Leanne and read the passage to her. i think she said “Did you know?”

I didn’t know.

I didn’t know the phrase “Choice Men” appeared in the bible, i Googled “Choice men Bible” and found more passages that contained the phrase, and in other translations its

chosen men, able fighting men, young men, select men, elite troops.

And that epitomized the spirit of what I think is needed,

take young men and help them to be Select, Able, Elite.

Choice.

I wanted a Logo, thought for a few weeks then I woke from a dream again.

With the CM logo in my head the M begin the crown and C being a head, so simple I might have dismissed it if i just thought of it myself.

Lets make kings and leaders of our Choice Men.

1 Chronicles 7:40 NKJV

choice men, mighty men of valor, chief leaders.

2 Chronicles 13:3

an army of valiant warriors, four hundred thousand choice men.

2 Chronicles 25:5

choice men, able to go to war, who could handle spear and shield.

1 Chronicles 1-9 is giving genealogy of the tribes of Israel,

Describing the Choice men as mighty men of valor and chief leaders.

In 2 Chronicles the Choice men are fighting as soldiers.

Describing them as valiant warriors, able to go to war, who could handle spear and shield.

Now spear and shield skills are not very useful in todays society but we should be able in the broadest sense of the word, and we don’t all have to literally go to war, but all men should go to war with themselves.

In Psalm 78 the people of Israel rebel and showed no faith to God, and made demands of God, lied and turned away from him.

The Wrath of God.

Psalm 78:31

The wrath of God came against them,
And slew the stoutest of them,
And struck down the choice men

Even after God fulfilled their desires and then punished them they where still disobedience and still sinned.

In 2 Samuel King David has gathered the Choice Men and has entrusted them to keep the ark of the covenant safe and move this box that’s covered in gold that God commanded Moses to make more than 400 years before David. it contains the tablets of the law and could be described as, that which is most valuable to the nation of Israel.

The Choice Men are responsible for it.
